Interesting hallmarked silver plated metal container approx. 5-1/2” x 3-3/4” x 1-1/4” contained in a tan leather casing that is chamois lined with belt straps. The hallmarks include a “D” over a bugle and “JD&S over EPBM over 942 M”. The whole rig appears military; possibly for holding personal effects of an officer as it’s too nice to be a cartridge pouch!
