U.S. Model 1840 Flintlock Musket, by Springfield (1841), NVSN, .69 cal., 42'' barrel, metal parts finished bright, with full-length walnut stock, iron bands, and bayonet lug at bottom of muzzle area. Trumpet-headed ramrod is present. Condition is excellent with just minor carbon spotting to barrel. Stock with only light scuffs and dings with some oil staining to forward portion of lockplate and at barrel bands. Action is good, bore is very good. Est.: $3,000-$5,000. (Antique)
