Colt Model 1855 Root Revolving Shotgun, #954, 10 ga., 27'' barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut stock and smooth forend. Scarce with approx. 1100 mfg'd between 1860-1863. Shotgun additionally features the large scroll triggerguard and smooth iron buttplate. Condition is very good to near fine with moderate general wear to all blue surfaces. Topstrap shows repair to forward portion directly above forcing cone. Stock with moderate flattening and oil darkening to wood. Good functioning action. Est.: $2,750-$4,500. (Antique)
