Red Spacer USMC Fighting Knife, by Robeson Shuredge, 7'' blade, 12'' overall, five-groove stacked leather washer handle, thick pommel, with red & black spacers at both guard and pommel, with unmarked nine-pin leather sheath. The following is handwritten on the back of the sheath: ''Presented to Commander Cheek, by Commodore Reifsnider, U.S. Navy, Guadalcanal February 1944.'' Condition is fine overall. Blades retains approx. 95% thinning/flaking blue finish, guard with a moderate amount of horizontal movement, and the handle remains tight. Sheath with moderate scuffs, scratches and discoloration; stitching and seams remain tight. Est.: $400-$600.
