Lot 1108 Uhlinger Spurtrigger Revolver

Wm. Uhlinger Spurtrigger Revolver, #2496, .32 RF cal., 5'' octagonal barrel, blue finish, with flared two-piece walnut grips. Top of barrel marked ''D.D. Cone/Washington D.C.'' Uhlinger used the name Cone, as well as several others, to circumvent certain Smith & Wesson patent infringements. Mfg'd 1861-1865. Condition is good with faint traces of case colors to frame; barrel and cylinder have toned. Original grips show scratches, oil darkening, and nicks at butt. Cylinder axle has broken just forward the frame; brass front sight is present. Action needs a little work, bore is fine. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
