^Lot 1096 U.S. Model 1816 Pistol converted to Percussion

U.S. Model 1816 Pistol converted to Percussion, by S. North, .54 cal., 9'' barrel, bright finish, walnut stock, with ''US'' and ''P'' proofmarks to top of barrel. Condition is very good as converted, with bolster type nipple fitting nestled in bronze pan. Holes from spring and frizzen remain in lockplate. Metal surfaces have toned a moderate brown. Stock with light scuffs, dings and oil darkening. Ramrod is a later replacement. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
