Italian Copy of a Sharps Sporting Rifle, by Sile, #25790, .45-70 cal., 28'' blue barrel, case hardened frame, checkered walnut stock and forend. Marked ''U.S. Sharps Rifle Co., Meriden, Conn.'', and ''Sile New York, NY''. Condition is excellent showing little use. Several screws show deformation to slots and one missing screw. Upper tang is drilled and taped for mid-range vernier sight. Stock with minor scuffs and scratches from handling and light field use. Good action, bright bore. Est.: $500-$750. (Modern)
