Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #21748, .45 ACP cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered large diamond walnut grips, with one two-tone magazine and early features. Walter G. Penfield inspected, shipped to Rock Island Arsenal, Feb. 13, 1913, with WWII Colt replacement barrel. (See the book, ''Government Models'', by Goddard.) Condition is fine retaining approx. 85%+ original finish with most of the losses to front strap, mainspring housing, and at muzzle area of slide. Early round rear sight with small dings and scuffs to left side. Grips with light to moderate flattening in spots. Action is crisp, bore is fine. Est.: $2,500-$4,000. (C&R)
