Colt Model 1862 New Police Percussion Revolver, #16679, .36 cal., 4-1/2'' barrel, originally blue finish with case colored frame, one-piece walnut grips, with silver-plated backstrap and triggerguard. Mfg'd 1863. Condition is very good retaining trace amounts of finish in protected areas, as well as small amounts of silver. Grips show fractional shrinkage and rounding at both heel and toe. All visible matching numbers, except wedge is unmarked. Action is crisp, bore is fair. Est.: $600-$800. (Antique)
