^Lot 709 Belgian Large Frame Revolver

Belgian Large Frame Revolver, originally 12mm Pinfire, converted to .36 CF cal., 7-1/8'' barrel, trade engraved with crosshatch and floral motif, top of barrel lug marked 1859, with bag-shaped rosewood grips. Often found in the hands of Confederate officers during the American Civil War. Condition is very good with period update conversion to centerfire. Repaired hammerspur. Good edges with little original finish remaining. Grips have smoothed and darkened with no cracks or losses. Good double, single action and bore. Est.: $500-$750. (Antique)
