^Lot 860 Witten 1879 Martini-Peabody Cal: .45 SN: E7510

Blued Romanian military rifle, made in Germany, with a 33" barrel. Metal is faded/worn to a brown patina or a grey/silver bare metal. All has rust stains and pitting. Cocking indicator is a replacement. Cleaning rod and forend tang have British military proofs. Butt stock may be a replacement with it being very small on the buttplate and the receiver joints. Forend is soundly battered with the last 4-3/4" being a replacement piece. Bore is dark with pitting and plenty of rifling. Action is working well. Condition is poor to fair. *Antique Firearm*
