^Lot 664a Snider Pattern 3 Cal: .577 SN: NVSN

A British conversion from muzzle loader to breech loading made between 1874 and 1880. Blued rifle with a 29-1/2" barrel and a bayonet with a 17-18" spike. Steel is brown patina with surface rust and stains. Lock plate is from an 1863 Tower musket. Trigger guard, nose cap and butt plate are brass with dents and dings. Wood is dark with dings and rubs, some large, and a crack from the lock plate around the top of the wrist and down towards the trigger guard, Bore is dark with good rifling. Action is good. Condition is poor.
