^Lot 520 Berthier 1892 Cal: 8mm SN:18404

French military blued bolt-action carbine with a 17-3/4" barrel and a leather sling. Barrel is marked "MA C 1893". Metal finish has worn to silver with many rust stains, surface rust, and deep pitting near the muzzle. Only the receiver and bolt serial numbers match. Stock has a recoil pad added on and the wood has scratches, rubs, dings, dents and a small chip. The carbine is missing a barrel band keeper and the rear sight slide. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Action works well. Condition is poor.
