^Lot 193 Berthier M16 Carbine Cal; 8mm SN:23596

French military blued bolt-action carbine with a 17.7" barrel, a leather sling and a bayonet with a 15-9/16" blade. Metal finish is fading a little with edge and exposed surface wear, scratches and little bumps. Butt plate has faded to grey with rust stains. Wood has serial number stamped in it with a crack running through the rear cross bolt on the right side and from the upper tang above the rear cross bolt on the left. There is also a small crack running from the nose cap keeper. There are many dings, dents, scratches and scrapes. Bore is shiny with good rifling. Action is working well. Condition is fair.
