Single Shot Halfstock Percussion Target Rifle, by J.S. Fowler, .40 cal., 32'' heavy octagonal barrel, walnut halfstock with cheekpiece, double set trigger, steel triggerguard and buttplate, with hickory ramrod. Top of barrel additionally marked ''Faust''. Condition is very good. Barrel retains approx. 85% plum colors mixed in with some light erosion near nipple bolster. Stock shows oil darkening and light scuffs. Hammer with old repair. Good set trigger and fair bore. Est.: $450-$600. (Antique)
