^Lot 690 Mauser Persian Luger

Mauser Persian Luger, #1302 (Farsi), 9mm, 4'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, factory checkered walnut grips, and matching tin-plated walnut based magazine. Shah's crown and lion to chamber area, toggle marked in Farsi. 1000 of these pistols were delivered in 1936 and another 1000 in 1942. This example is from the 1942 shipment and are considered very rare. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97%+ original factory blue with thinning to front and backstrap, at high edges, and with very minor thinning and toning to straw parts. Grips and action are crisp, bore is bright. 1917 dated German brown leather holster shows light general scuffing and wear. Est.: $5,000-$7,500. (C&R/PPT) (John Siroonian estate)
