^Lot 679 Rare French mkd 1906 Commercial Luger

Rare French marked 1906 Commercial Luger, #45872, .30 Luger cal., 4-3/4'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, factory checkered walnut grips, and one unmarked nickel-plated magazine with wood base. Top of barrel marked ''Manufacture Francaise d'Armes and Cycles de Saint-Etienne'', chamber is blank, toggle marked DWM, serrated safety with lower portion polished bright. Extractor marked ''Geladen'', with BUG proofmarks. These pistols are considered quite scarce with less than ten known. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 98% lightly thinning blue. Straw parts show carbon spotting and thinning at high edges, more pronounced at thumb safety. Grips with mild flattening and oil darkening. Action is crisp, bore is fine. Est.: $4,000-$6,000.
