Lot 619 Percussion Kentucky Rifle

Percussion Kentucky Rifle, unmarked, .40 cal. ball, 40'' octagonal barrel, ful-length walnut stock, hickory ramrod, brass patch box and furniture reminiscent of other Lebanon, PA patterns, with applied ornate silver embellishments. Double pierced brass toeplate with rectangular and coffin-shaped design; sideplate is similarly pierced. Triggerguard extends forward to the first ramrod throat and appears to be one piece. Added silver embellishments include cross flags (one of which is missing), crowns, crescents, and abstract designs, of which approx. ten are missing yet nineteen remain. Condition is good to very good overall with good working action, moderate patination to iron surfaces. Stock with crack at heel; tip of ramrod is broken. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (Antique)
