Gemmer Trapdoor Rifle, by Steve Lodding, #164148, .45-70 cal., 32'' medium-weight octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, custom walnut halfstock with cheekpiece, patchbox, and crescent buttplate; double set trigger, pewter forend cap, Gemmer-type rear sight and German silver Rocky Mountain type front blade, with hickory cleaning rod. Condition is excellent as purposely aged to look 150 years old. Stock shows only the lightest marks from handling. Double set trigger and action are crisp, bore is mirror bright. Steve Lodding is a master gunsmith and belongs to the Contemporary Long Rifle Assoc.
