Johnson (Middn Conn 1844), NVSN, .54 cal., 8-1/2'' round barrel, correct brass blade front sight, swivel type ramrod with button-shaped head, and double cartouched walnut stock. Considered scarce with Johnson variations mfg'd between 1836-1844 making for only 8000 examples. Condition is fine as partially cleaned, with crisp markings, clearly visible cartouches, good functioning action, and bright smoothbore barrel.
