Lot 328 ANTIQUE REMINGTON-HEPBURN WITH PARSON OPTICAL SCOPE By Remington

This firearm was a prized item in the collection of Kenyon Greene, a RMEF member and supporter since 1988. According to “The History of Remington Firearms” by Roy M. Marcot, the 1879 RemingtonHepburn rifle was produced 1880-1904 with more than 10,000 rifles produced. This fantastic antique (year produced unknown) has a serial number of 9110. The caliber of the firearm has been measured at 45-70. The rifle has an octagon barrel and Hepburn’s breechloading system that featured a dropping breechlock activated by a lever on the right side of the frame. This antique will be a cherished possession of any major collector.
