Lot 12A 15-day Alberta Rocky Mtn Sheep Hunt
A spectacular opportunity has been presented to
Nevada Bighorns Unlimited (NBU). This hunt will
be auctioned off at NBU’s 34th Annual Fundraising
Banquet Friday, April 4th 2014 at the Peppermill
Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. This hunt is not
included in our auction program, as it just became
available.
Alberta Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 438 is the
harvest location of the current World Record Rocky
Mountain Bighorn Ram. Here is your chance to hunt
this trophy area, known for record rams and superior
genetics. Nevada Rocky populations came from this
region, and the photos you see on this page came
from Nevada’s trap and transplant effort undertaken in
February 2013 at the Cadomin Mine site, just east of WMU 438.
About The Hunt: These hunts are 15 day horseback and
backpacking hunts that include wall-tent and spike
camps and great food.
The average ram in
this area will go from
160 – 200 class. For
every one hunter
there is one guide and
a guide/ horse-
wrangler. This also
includes pick up and
drop off from Calgary International Airport or Edmonton
International Airport depending on the date of the hunt.
This is an all-inclusive and it will be the hunt of a life
time!

- September 1st - 15th
- September 16th – 30th
- October 1st – 15th
These are 15 day hunts including one day for travel.

Location: Our Bighorn sheep area is located in Wildlife
Management Unit (WMU) 438; which is east of the Jasper
National Park boundary and west of Cadomin Mines, it
holds some of the largest Bighorns harvested in North
America, and is home to the world record ram. Also it
has the largest population of Bighorns in Alberta. The
area is located four and a half hours West of Edmonton
Alberta and is Southwest of Hinton Alberta.
