Original Oil on Linen "On the Ridge" Painting by Grant Hacking
Contact: David Dibben davedibben@gmail.com (816) 289-9299 New England artist Grant Hacking was born and raised in South Africa and resided there until the age of twenty-five so he still experiences great pleasure in depicting the diverse animal life native to the African Continent. Living in this exotic location provided Hacking the opportunity to travel far and wide during the early years of his career researching material for his innovative wildlife compositions. However, a move to the United States in 1990 coupled with his dedication to a wife and two growing daughters motivated the artist to begin focusing on more localized subject matter as well. When the weather is good, I enjoy painting en plein air, and when the chill winds of winter arrive, I return to my studio where painting my memories of Africa instills a sense of warmth. Because painting is an all consuming passion, Hacking remains personally involved with his oils from start to finish. "I want to make certain the buyer is getting the most for his investment so I complete the package with frames chosen to compliment each piece of art. I construct the rustic wood frames for my wildlife paintings myself while my other subjects are surrounded by handmade gold-leaf frames giving them a sense of elegant simplicity." Reflecting upon his career as a professional artist, Hacking notes, "When all is said and done, being a painter is really about making connections. Artists put so much of themselves into their paintings that buyers are often attracted as much by the personality of the artist as they are by a specific work. For this reason, the artist must strive to make certain each painting evokes a personal experience between the viewer and his art, one which allows the imagination to create what the brush leaves out."

Alberta Minister’s Special License – Elk
Sportsmen for Fish & Wildlife Kevin Norman (435) 770-5978 kevin@sfw.net SFW is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization. Spectacular terrain and scenery, and a rapidly growing population await the elk hunter visiting Alberta. Home to the Rocky Mountain elk subspecies, bulls are highly responsive to calling during the rut from late August through to early-October. Through the rest of the year, trophy bulls can be found in small bachelor herds, offering a unique spot-and-stalk hunt. Mountain, foothills, prairie, and forest hunts are all available, and equally productive; select the hunt that best suits your personal taste and capability, or hire an outfitter that monitors all regions. As recently as 2020 a bull scoring 449 ½” B&C was taken in Alberta…you could be the next to capitalize on our growing herds and strong genetics! There’s never been a better time than today to hunt elk in Alberta. Once confined to the mountains and foothills, elk are growing in numbers and expanding their distribution. These days thriving elk populations can be found from the Peace River valley in the north to central Alberta’s parkland and mixed wood forests, to the rolling prairie grasslands of the south. The Minister’s Special License (MSL) gives the lucky winning bidder an outstanding opportunity to take an elk that will be the envy of any North American jurisdiction. Consider that in 2020, Shawn O’Shea harvested an Alberta non-typical elk with his bow that scored a mind-boggling 449 ½ inches! Pope and Young has recognized this as the largest bow-harvested non-typical American elk ever taken. Several other Alberta elk, both non-typical and typical, have been harvested that scored in excess of 400 inches—the next could be yours. With recent improvements to the Alberta MSL program, this premier opportunity is not to be missed. Custom Handmade Watch
Wishes 4 Warriors/Hoursmiths Contact: Brittney Marshall 2881 S Teddy Ave Meridian, Idaho 83642 www.wishes4warriors.org brittney@wishes4warriors.org Booth # 3160 Hello I am Swiss Watchmaker Anthony Vierra, owner of American Chronometers and I am proud to offer a special handmade watch built to support the efforts of Wishes for Warriors. The watch was designed in house by Air Force Veteran Marshall Nichols and myself, inspired by four Veterans who received Purple Hearts for their service. The design of the watch invokes the heritage of vintage service watches of World War II. The case is 44 mm and stainless steel made in Zurich Switzerland and delivered to Boise Idaho for final finishing here in my shop. The dial is white enamel, with vintage style lume adorned with the American Chronometers and Wishes for Warriors logos. The watch features a sapphire crystal dial side and a sapphire display back with Medal recipients names laser engraved. Under the crystal display back you will find a hand wound Swiss movement finished and assembled by my hand here in Boise Idaho. The strap uses calf skin as a base and then has donated uniform material bonded and sewn on. As a finishing touch the strap will display four Purple Heart ribbons donated by these brave Veterans. The watch will be hand assembled by me and placed in a display box built by Veterans. This completely handmade watch will take nearly 100 hours to complete and would normally cost around $10,000. It is my great honor to collaborate with so many service members in the creation of this watch. It will be an incredible addition to any collection and a lasting tribute to the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. American Chronometers – Wishes for Warriors 1:1 Commission Created in tribute to four purple heart recipients, Wally Fanene – US Army, Erik Galvan – US Marines, Daniel Nield – US Air Force, & Derek McGinnis – US Navy, this stainless steel timepiece is meant to embody the individual sacrifices service members make in defense of our country. Representing the four combat branches of the United States department of defense, these four individuals fulfilled their oath in the most selfless way, taking wounds in the performance of their duty. Working hand-in-hand with the Wishes for Warriors organization, the design of this timepiece was a collaborative effort, not only between organizations, but with the veterans themselves. Four purple heart ribbons were received from these service members, and applied to a combat worn, USMC battle uniform to create the strap. The case and dial are classic variations on a field watch with dress intentions. Durable, finely tuned, and steeped in American heritage, this piece is reflective of everything that makes the United States Armed Forces the greatest fighting force on Earth.
