5-day Pakistan Afghan Urial Hunt for One Hunter
Travel to Pakistan for this 7-day trip with five full-days of 1x1 guided hunting, for the best available Afghan urial for one hunter, donated by Kaan Karakaya and Shikar Safaris. Method of take is rifle. Schedule hunt with outfitter for open dates during the 2015 or 2016 seasons, only. Shikar Safaris has been involved in many outdoor programs for educating local people on how to save the wildlife and how to start sustainable hunting programs. The Torghar Project alone is a great success story. In the 1980's the Sulaiman markhor almost disappeared from the face of the Earth. After several years of hard work, a project started on Torghar Hills, a 100,000 hectare mountain range. Finally, the population was recovered and in 1999, CITES gave the first legal quota to the area for 2 Sulaiman markhors and 7 Afghan Urials. Shikar Safaris is proud to be the first outfitter to be involved with the Torghar Project. They have successfully harvested close to 50 markhors and 70 urials in this area in the last fifteen years. Recently Torghar was recognized at the CIC meeting in Japan as The Best Wildlife Project in the World and a world class example of sustainable use. Now the Sulaiman markhor is importable into the USA and this gives a big opportunity to the luckiest bidder to upgrade this hunt with a Sulaiman Markhor hunt in the same hunting area. This hunt can also be upgraded with other urials, ibexes and markhors in Pakistan as well. Please ask Shikar Safaris for all upgrade options and availability. Included are full board accommodations during hunt, guide service, trophy fee for available Afghan urial, hunting license, gun import, airport transfer and field prep. Atmosphere has been selected among the planet's top ten Explorer Yachts by Super Yacht Magazine, and Forbes magazine rated it as one of the top ten fly fishing lodges in the World! She spoils her guests with a crew of thirty-two serving a maximum of 28 guests, and serves as a mother ship for a Bell Ranger 407 helicopter, six Rogue jet boats, a Zodiac Hurricane 920 RIB, more than fifty strategically located McKenzie drift-boats, and over a dozen jet skiffs and cata-crafts. This impressive fleet compensates for the remoteness of the fishing grounds, which range from freshwater rivers, creeks, lakes and lagoons to brackish tidal sections of rivers. Nomads reach into Patagonia's isolation so well that they have coined the term 'ultimate fly fishing' to capture their flexibility in the face of changing conditions. Besides fishing and enjoying the Atmosphere's comfort, you can go whale watching, bird watching or on inland tours. This donation includes accommodations (double cabin with twin bed, or queen, if available), meals, open bar (except special liquors), use of spa, thalassotherapy, daily fly fishing excursions as scheduled, daily whale watching and eco-tour excursions as scheduled and transfers to and from local airport. Additional anglers and observers are welcome, and cabin upgrades are available. Consult outfitter for details. Not included are transportation to/from Puerto Montt, massages, extra helicopter/jet boat hours, use of satellite phone, internet and gratuities. Arrival/departure point is Puerto Montt. 7-day Alaska Grizzly Bear Hunt and Silver Salmon Fishing for One Hunter and One Observer
Mike Odin's Alaska Adventures invites one hunter and one observer to hunt interior grizzly bear and coho (silvers) salmon fishing in Alaska on the Mulchatna River in Western Alaska, 250 miles southwest of Anchorage. Hunt is scheduled for August 20-26 2015, only. Check with outfitter for alternate dates but space is extremely limited. They hunt grizzlies using river boats from their wilderness lodge. Hunters harvest quality grizzly bears and range from 7 foot to 8 foot plus. Hunt area has a two-bear area, with dense concentration of bears. During this time, silver salmon are moving upstream to spawn in the upper creeks and lakes near the lodge. You'll hunt primarily by river boats, floating the main river and tributaries to spot bears feeding on the last run of salmon, or glass grizzly bears feeding on endless berry patches on the rolling tundra hillside adjacent to the river corridor. We also use spike camps in selected locations. This is a spot-and-stalk hunt, typically you are within 100 yards of the bears. After the grizzly is harvested you will enjoy fishing for silver salmon only a few steps from the lodge and wolf can be taken at no charge as an incidental trophy. Included are accommodations, meals, guide service, trophy fee for one grizzly, in field transportation and field prep. Additional hunters and observers are welcome; see outfitter for details. Not included are before/after hunt expenses, air charter fee to/from lodge (approx. $2,085 per person RT using a Cessna 206 on floats), hunting license (US resident $85, foreign $300), tag (US resident $500 foreign $650), wolf tag (US resident $30 foreign $50), 7-day sport fishing license ($55) and gratuities. Additional trophy fee of $3,500 for second bear. Arrival/departure point is Anchorage. For more information, contact Mike Odin at 907-644-HUNT (4868) or mike@mikeodin.com. 5-day Pakistan Sind Ibex Hunt for One Hunter
One hunter will travel to southern Pakistan in search of adventure and a trophy Sind Ibex on this 5-day trip with three full days, 1x1 guided rifle, or handgun hunt, donated by Caprinae Safaris of Turkey. Schedule hunt with outfitter for open dates October 1, 2015-March 31, 2016. With rugged snowy mountains that have fluted icy pinnacles piercing the sky and windswept plains stretching for miles, Pakistan is a land of contrasts. It offers some of Asia's most mind bending features and a kaleidoscopic view of culture and ethnic structure. Being a game rich country, Pakistan was appreciated by a number of trophy hunters long before its separation from British India. Many British soldiers here had the privilege of pursuing these game animals back in colonial times. Now it is your turn to hunt in these lands and have a taste of the excitement these sportsmen experienced previously. The Sind ibex is native to South Pakistan's Khirtar Mountains, usually inhabiting altitudes of 1,500 to 4,500 feet. In this area, trophies average 37-39 inches but have reached 45 inches and over. Caprinae Safaris have been constantly running very successful hunts and the very high success for Sind Ibex. Caprinae Safaris guided the hunters who took top 10 Sind Ibex previous years. The Sind counts toward the Capra World Slam and is a crowning achievement in any hunting career. Blanford Urial and/or Punjab Urial can easily be added on to this hunt. Included are guest house or hunting lodge accommodation, meals, hunting and rifle permits, trophy fee for one ibex, area fees, all transfers to/from Islamabad and Karachi closest airport, customs handling, guide service and trophy prep. Additional hunters are welcome for $19,500 up to 39' +$1,000/inch over 39' and observer $2,400.
