Special note: If you are a serious trophy hunter seeking a record book animal, or a hunter wanting a good mixed bag hunt with possible opportunities at better than average trophies, you must give this area serious consideration. Golden Bear produces trophy class animals. Record Book class billys are taken every year. Three years ago the New B&C World Record Mtn. Goat was taken close to our border by a neighboring outfitter. The Telegraph Creek area is world famous for being “BIG GOAT” country. Goat hunting is strenuous and requires good physical conditioning. If you want a big goat, be prepared to turn down smaller billys and lay some foot prints on the mountain. Most of our goat hunts are backpack type hunts. If you have 1-2 good climbs in you, you should succeed in your quest. We have had numerous clients in their 70’s who were successful. After over 35 years in the outfitting business we have learned that no matter how many years you are at it every year dishes up its own brew of excitement and hunting adventure.
Proceeds from the sale of this hunt will be 100% directed to the WSF Thinhorn initiative and thinhorn programs.

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission & Department, and the North American Moose Foundation (via the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition) are pleased to provide the Wild Sheep Foundation with a 2015 Shiras moose license for auction. The 2015 Wyoming Governor’s Moose License is only valid in open hunt areas with more than 10 Type 1 any- or antlered- moose licenses issued. For 2014 this license was valid in 12 hunt areas: 1, 5, 10, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 38/41. These hunt areas account for over 70% of Wyoming’s annual Shiras moose harvest. The number of licenses issued per hunt area MAY change from year to year. Seasons and license numbers for fall 2015 will be finalized in April 2015.
Successful purchaser may hunt any open hunt area that qualifies in accordance with the above. The purchaser does not have to pick a specific hunt area and may hunt different hunt areas. The five-year waiting period between moose licenses does not affect the ability to purchase a Governor’s moose license, and purchasing this license is independent of applying for a moose license through the draw system. The license fee ($117 for Resident, $1,416 for Non-Resident) is waived. Preference points are not affected by purchase of a Wyoming Governor’s Moose License. 90% of the auction proceeds provide funding for Wyoming moose projects via the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition.
A 5% buyers premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.

This will be the 4th season for this special youth hunting opportunity for a desert bighorn ram. (The age criteria for a youth hunt only is: A hunter must be under 18 years of age on the opening day of the hunt and possess a hunter education course or mentored youth program number.)
The relationship between the Wild Sheep Foundation, Armendaris Ranch, NMDGF, and Turner Ranch Outfitting continues with great success. To date, all of our hunts have produced a trophy ram. This is an expansive and rough mountain range with limited road access for glassing and hunting. We have a comfortable bunkhouse near the base of the hunting area that is used for our youth hunter and their parent/mentor. Guide, vehicle, and meals are provided.
*The winning bidder will be responsible for purchasing their license/permit from the NMDGF. Approximate youth fees are: $3195 for non-resident and $171 for resident.
*The proceeds generated at this auction will help provide outdoor experiences for our future sportsmen.
*The hunt will occur November 20-29/2015 in the Fra Cristobal Mountains. This wild sheep population has provided many hunted and relocation animals to date.
* A 501c3 organization will determine the future use for the generated funds.
*A typical day will be spent driving and hiking with the potential for many hours of glassing areas to locate rams. We have lunch on the mountain and return to camp after dark. You can expect help determining age and trophy quality as well as the physical demand and practicality of a stalk. Please understand this can be a physically demanding hunt that can challenge any of us!
*We enforce a wounding policy on our private land guided hunts to encourage responsibility for careful shot placement, closest possible stalks, and an enjoyable experience with respect to wildlife. “If an animal is wounded, every effort from that point on will be for that animal only, until the hunt terminates.”
The ranch staff looks forward to sharing the mountain and the experience of a lifetime!

Special note: In 1991 the “New Russia” was opening its Iron Curtain to the western world. Young Ansten Ostbye, sportsman from Norway, began visiting this vast region in search of good hunting opportunities for himself and quickly recognized the great opportunities for a quality outfitting business and Ostbyes Hunting Tours was born. Jack Atcheson was introduced to Ansten in 1999. Since that time, over 100 Atcheson clients have experienced his VIP hunts and returned home safely with world class trophies and hunting experiences. Let us introduce you to Ansten’s famous smile and great hunting opportunities!

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is pleased to again have WSF host the California bighorn sheep auction permit for 2015. Anyone is eligible to bid, regardless if you’ve harvested a bighorn in Washington. The successful bidder will be issued a license and tag, and will be able to hunt any open sheep unit with 2 or more (regular) draw permits. In 2013, these were the Selah Butte and Umtanum (either side of Yakima Canyon), Cleman Mountain (near Naches), Mt. Hull, (northeast of Omak), Quilomene (east of Ellensburg), and Manson (north of Lake Chelan) sheep herds. Any changes from these areas will be announced prior to the auction. The auction permit hunter can hunt from September 1 to December 31, 2015; that’s two weeks earlier than the general bighorn permit season! Much of the land is managed by WDFW, which generally prohibits commercial guiding. However, the auction permit holder can expect approval to retain a guide during the 1st 2 weeks of the season (as well as after draw permit hunting closes). WSF retains 10% of the auction purchase price.

The Torghar Project alone is a great success story. In the 1980’s the Sulaiman Markhor almost disappeared from the face of the Earth. After several years of hard work, a project started on Torghar Hills, a 100,000 hectare mountain range. Finally, the population was recovered and in 1999, CITES gave the first legal quota to the area for 2 Sulaiman Markhors and 7 Afghan Urials. Shikar Safaris is proud to be the first outfitter to be involved with the Torghar Project. They have successfully harvested close to 50 Markhors and 70 Urials in this area in the last fifteen years. Recently Torghar was recognized at the CIC meeting in Japan as the Best Wildlife Project in the World and a world class example of sustainable use. This hunt can also be upgraded with other urials, ibex and markhors in Pakistan as well. Please ask Shikar Safaris for all upgrade options and availability. Kaan Karakaya and Shikar Safaris have been strongly supporting several organizations such as Wild Sheep Foundation, SCI, Dallas Safari Club, NRA, Conklin Foundation, Weatherby Foundation International, Shikar-Safari Club, and Conservation Force for many years. You only have to look at the Boone and Crockett record book to understand how important Arizona is in producing many of the largest pronghorn bucks in North America. Recent world record book bucks were taken here. If you truly want to hunt for some of the biggest antelope in North America… buy this tag!
This tag is good for Any Buck Antelope. The hunting season is 365 days (AUGUST 15, 2015 – AUGUST 14, 2016) and includes most huntable pronghorn antelope units within the state of Arizona as prescribed in AZ Game & Fish rule R12-4-120 (Commission Order 29).
The entire proceeds from the sale of this tag are used to fund on-the-ground antelope projects like water developments, habitat enhancements, relocations, and highway mitigation research. The Arizona Antelope Foundation and the Wild Sheep Foundation absorb all costs for marketing and auctioning the tag. To date, over $1,580,000 has been raised strictly for antelope management through this auction tag. Without the continued funding provided by these tag funds, Arizona’s antelope restoration program would be years behind its current success.
A 5% buyers premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society is proud to bring the 2015 Colorado Statewide Mountain Goat tag to the Wild Sheep Foundation Convention. Colorado has some of the healthiest goat populations in the western United States. The season start dates are unit and weapon specific but the purchaser of this tag will have the added benefit of a closing date of December 31, 2015 for all units. Most seasons finish around the first week of October but the winner of this tag will be allowed to hunt after all other seasons have closed and may be the only hunter in the field. Guiding/Outfitting is not included with the purchase of this tag. The tag is not transferable to another person. If you are interested in this tag and want specific information on season dates, previous hunt photos, or other regulations, please visit us at Booths #777 and #779.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has selected the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) to auction its Open-zone Desert Bighorn Fund Raising Permit at the Reno, NV convention. This permit represents California’s premier desert bighorn hunting opportunity and provides the lucky bidder the ability to hunt in any of the approved hunt zones during the 2015 season.
The Special Desert Bighorn Sheep Permit offered through WSF will be the only fully open zone tag auctioned in California for the 2015/2016 season. Also, this will be the only fund-raising tag that will be permitted to hunt in the Cady Mountains. Any other fund-raising desert bighorn sheep permits from California will provide opportunities to 2 or fewer (to be determined) of our high quality hunt zones.
This permit is subject to all existing conditions required for the take of bighorn sheep in California, including the requisite hunter orientation program identified in Section 362, Title 14, and California Code of Regulations. The tag holder will be able to hunt up to one month prior to the opening of the general bighorn season and over a period of up to five and one half months, if desired. The permit is non-transferable and may be used only by the purchaser. Any resident or non-resident is eligible to bid on and receive this Special Permit. Previous purchasers are also eligible to bid on this Special Permit. The strong support for bighorn sheep conservation that has been shown by WSF and those individuals that have supported sheep management in California has contributed to the addition of new hunting opportunities. For additional information, contact Regina Abella at (916) 445-3728. Program Staff may also be present at the annual convention to answer any last minute questions that interested parties may have.
