Newfoundland Moose Hunt
Here is a great opportunity to add a Moose to your collection of trophies. This 100% donation is a six day hunt for one from Long Range Mountain Inc. which is operated by Sharon Biggin. The outfit is in a remote wilderness camp in area 39 on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. The remoteness of the camp (accessible by float plane only) insures little or no local hunting pressure, coupled with the fact that area 39 is one of the most densely populated moose & caribou areas on the island, offers their clients an extremely high success rate. The hunting area has only been hunted since 1993 with a very limited number of animals harvested each year. Guides are all experienced woodsmen and native Newfoundlanders that know the hunting area well. This hunt will take place Mid-September 2014 rifle season. Game that can be added to this hunt is Woodland Caribou. License fees are included in this donation and an extra hunter can be added for $3995.00. Arrival and departure point will be Hawks Bay which is the base for the float plane. All accommodations are included in this hunt, staying in rustic cabins with in-door plumbing. Mid-Asian Ibex Hunt
Travel to Kyrgyzstan with Asian Mountain Outfitters. This hunt is conducted on horseback or on foot in high elevations. The outfitter describes the hunt as comparably to a British Columbia Mountain Goat hunt. This is typically a very difficult hunt and the hunters need to be experienced in mountain hunting and with long range shooting. Hunter will also ride horses extensively in mountain conditions. Hunters have the option of shooting a second Ibex ($5,000) or a Roe Buck (4,500) both of which would be on trophy fee or this Ibex hunt can be upgraded to include Marco Polo for $24,750. This Ibex hunt includes 6-8 hunting days plus flights and travel. Typical Ibex trophy sizes on this hunt ranges from 40 -50”. The most common hunt dates are September and October, but the season runs August 15th thru February 28th, with no hunting between Dec.10th - Jan. 10th. Serious bidders should call or stop by Bryan’s Asian Mountain Outfitters booth to discuss this hunt opportunity directly with him, before bidding on this hunt. Hunt is to be taken in 2014/2015 season, but arrangements can be made to postpone hunt until 2015/2016 (for an extra cost and with approval from Asian Mountain Outfitters). The best local guides typically do not speak English. The Ibex are plentiful and do not require a U.S. Cities Permit. Bryan has conducted several seminars at the Convention in the past, about equipment, shooting and what should be expected on such hunts. The 2014 Wyoming Governor's Moose License is only valid in open hunt areas with greater than 10 total any or antlered moose licenses issued. For 2014 this license was valid in 12 hunt areas: 1, 5, 10, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 38/41. These hunt areas account for over 70% of Wyoming's annual Shiras Moose harvest. The number of licenses issued per hunt area MAY change from year to year. Seasons and license numbers for fall 2014 will be finalized in April 2014. Successful purchaser may hunt any open hunt area that qualifies in accordance with the above. The purchaser does not have to pick a specific hunt area and may hunt different hunt areas. Preference points are not affected by purchase of a Wyoming Governor's Moose License. 90% of the auction proceeds provide funding for Wyoming moose projects via the Wyoming Governor's Big Game License Coalition.
