6-day/7-night Peacock Bass Yacht trip for one angler aboard the Blackwater Explorer in Brazil
Six full days of fishing; 7 nights on the Blackwater Explorer, double occupancy cabin; gourmet meals; open bar; charter flights; fishing licenses, rods & reels; guided fishing (2 anglers/ boat); overnight at Tropical Hotel; airport assistance and transfers. Fish for the world's most exciting gamefish on the brand new, comfortably air-conditioned, "Blackwater Explorer" yacht. Our great mobility allows us to access the most productive, remote Amazon tributaries. Endless miles of majestic, fish holding waters with hidden lagoons, winding creeks, placid lakes and sandy beaches. We concentrate on finding the rivers or regions with optimal water levels and productivity during each part of our fishing season. Our "turn-on-a-dime" flexibility allows us to find great fishing on every one of our trips. We boast extremely high daily catch averages (from 10 - 50, even 100 or more peacocks a day.) Trophy fish in the teens are routine and many monsters over 20 lbs. are taken every week. Great top water action and superb fly fishing opportunities. Return each evening to the comfort and security of the Blackwater Explorer. Anglers can also do battle with huge red-tailed catfish (up to 100 pounds) that are abundant in many of these river systems. Dallas Safari Club thanks Acute Angling for this 100% donation. "Hippo Critical Passage" oil on canvas by Brent Dodd
Landscape Artist, Brent Dodd was born in 1978 in the southern district of Zimbabwe. Early on in his life his family moved onto a farm in the Eastern Highlands. He attended one of Zimbabwe’s premier boarding schools for boys, Peterhouse Boys, before studying Art at Rhodes University in South Africa. He has travelled extensively in Southern and Central Africa, committing his thoughts and findings to canvas. His work describes that childhood of growing up in an African country where one finds adventure and fascination around every corner. From steam locomotives of the Zimbabwean stockyards to the open fields of his family’s tobacco farm; African landscapes from the Zambezi River to the source of the Nile, moments are caught and depicted in various mediums, including both Oil paint and Pencil work. Brent now paints and works in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. Biographies accompanying paintings document excerpts from his novel Finding Home, which is still to be published. Dallas Safari Club thanks Brent Dodd for this 100% donation. Donor information: Brent Dodd, brent@brentdodd.com, www.brentdodd.com.
