401 #DIN-01 Wyoming Shiras Moose Governor’s Permit
•The 2025 Wyoming Governor’s Moose License is only valid in open hunt areas with greater than 10 Type 1 “any” or “antlered” moose licenses issued. •These hunt areas account for over 70% of Wyoming’s annual Shiras moose harvest. •The number of licenses issued per hunt area MAY change from year to year. Seasons and license numbers for fall 2025 will be finalized in mid-April 2025. •The successful purchaser may hunt any open hunt area that qualifies in accordance with the above. The purchaser does not have to pick a specific hunt area and may hunt different hunt areas during open dates. •The five-year waiting period between moose licenses does not affect the ability to purchase a Governor’s moose license, and purchasing this license is independent of applying for a moose license through the draw system.
